A death-metal record from the future

Warping the wreckage of two dying genres through an open dimensional rift, Blood Incantation spent the summer of 2023 inside Berlin's legendary Hansa Tonstudio and emerged with Absolute Elsewhere — one 43-minute vessel holding two twenty-minute suites and six carved tablets of cosmic death-metal scripture. Produced by Arthur Rizk, wrapped in the synths of a Tangerine Dream collaborator, it is what its makers call "a '70s prog album played by a '90s death metal band from the future."

Like the soundtrack to a Herzog-style sci-fi epic about the history of — and battle for — human consciousness itself.

Absolute Elsewhere

The fourth studio album by Blood Incantation — progressive death metal refracted through 70s progressive rock, orbiting a twin-mooned planet where two pyramids stand watch. Four years after Hidden History of the Human Race broke the scene, these monoliths arrived to universal acclaim.

Two suites, six tablets

Each movement is carved into three "tablets" — sacred drifting stones of sound, one swift descent and one slow ascent.

The Stargate

An interlocked pair of teens-told-tales: a black hole swallowing itself, a supernova toward the absolute — featuring synths by Tangerine Dream's Thorsten Quaeschning.
